How to Fail as a Muggle and Succeed as a Master

We’ve all had lifetimes where we’ve experienced grand success. Perhaps this is not that lifetime. Not to say that you can’t be successful in this lifetime, but it’s simply not a focus for those of us who have chosen ascension. The focus of this lifetime is ‘completion’: Bringing home everything that’s been “broken”, lost and separated, abandoned, ignored and hidden.
Years ago Adamus Saint-Germain stated his metaphysical theory that pure light attracts pure darkness: Try to be only light, and you can be sure that darkness will find you! I’ve termed this phenomenon the “law of completion”. We are here to find Oneness within. To be all that we are, and to see ourselves from all perspectives.
So if you ever feel less than “successful” in your human life, it’s perfect because in many ways, realizing the master that you truly are entails having to fail as an average human, or even as an average successful human. Hence the following guide: ‘how to fail as a muggle and succeed as a master’.

  1. Whatever the situation is, breathe! Most humans will use chaos or drama as an excuse to panic and hyperventilate; however, the master simply sits back and breathes. Be sure that the people around you will urge you to fix the situation, to do something about it. And you do take a deep, conscious breath.
  2. Don’t take advice from anyone who hasn’t experienced it themselves, especially people calling themselves “experts”. Probably you cannot stand people telling you how to do things, especially if you haven’t asked for their advice. As the master you know who you are, you know that you are your highest authority and the best expert of yourself. Your intuition will guide you to the right source of information at the right time.
  3. Quit anything that you don’t resonate with, including jobs, relationships, living arrangements, etc. No matter what the cost, it’s never higher than the cost of staying in a situation that drains your energy and limits your joy. Oh, you’ve already quit everything?
  4. Commit to yourself. This relates to the previous point. You commit to yourself the way other people commit to their career, their family or to God – you become your passion. This is another sure way to fail as a muggle, but it also makes you courageous, pioneering and most importantly: joyful.
  5. Don’t try things – and while we’re at it, throw any kind of effort out of the window too. The master has no patience for trying, because trying and allowing are incompatible. This doesn’t mean you can’t rehearse things or improve a skill, but even this is done with unconditional trust in self and allowing.
  6. Go multidimensional: Instead of operating on patterns and building your reality on a linear understanding, you perceive yourself and reality as multidimensional. Yes, you might get some raised eyebrows and accusations of being naïve, but in truth the eyebrow-raisers are either jealous or scared of you. Until you learn to become invisible, that is.
  7. Don’t make plans. Why would you need to make plans if you follow your intuition, make conscious choices and allow? This will drive all the muggles in your life absolutely crazy. They cannot stand such complete lack of structure and stability. Be compassionate with them – and with yourself.
  8. Love yourself first. Most people love a part of themselves a little bit at the end of the day once everything and everyone else has been taken care of. As the master you never procrastinate loving yourself, even when others call you selfish or self-centred (although, if we get philosophical about it, my life does revolve around me – how could anyone not be the centre of their own life?).
  9. Say what you mean. You’d think that there are plenty of opportunities for that with all the modern technology and social media. And, how has communication changed? People are now inauthentic in a much faster, cheaper and multicultural way. But the master simply can’t help but express himself or herself with authenticity. Have you ever had one of those moments when someone crossed your boundary and a clear, calm, intolerant voice that you didn’t know you possessed suddenly spoke out? Others will be so surprised at this amount of clarity and authenticity that they will completely forget to be upset about it.
  10. Allow the darkness. When conflict shows up within you, welcome the opportunity for integration. Breathe with your shadows. Ever hear a muggle invite their darkness to return home?
  11. Celebrate everything: the past, the present, the “good”, and the “bad”. Many humans are willing to celebrate special events or happy incidents, but then regret, ignore or judge things that don’t feel good to them. But the master is not afraid of celebrating death, sickness, loss, or even the “mundane” things in life.
  12. Change your beliefs the way others change their pocket money. You might be perceived as inconsistent, but you know that you’re just expanding. Or perhaps you’re way beyond beliefs at this point; it often happens when one expands beyond their mind…
  13. Instead of blaming things on everybody else, blame yourself. I’m kidding, don’t do that! Instead of blaming anyone (including your aspects), walk away from power games completely. Just don’t participate in duality anymore. You know better than that, so why should you tolerate illusion in your reality?
  14. Don’t give a toss about things that really don’t matter (basically everything except the realisation of “I exist”). And suddenly life becomes simple.
  15. When everything seems too much, laugh, cry, dance. Life is ridiculous, especially if you have the courage to look around yourself with open eyes. We live in a crazy world and it’s getting crazier by the minute. We don’t have control over most things (except our reality), but we have the wisdom to see that all is well. Because in the end, energy always seeks resolution and everyone is on their perfect path, awakening (or not awakening) at their perfect pace. But we can stand back, observe the happenings with compassion, and laugh.
Basically, it all boils down to priorities: as masters, our priority is no longer to lead a pretty life. Our priority is total freedom, and that’s not always in control or nice or even perfect (because even perfection is limiting). What a freedom it is to realize that you can fail or succeed as much as you like and it doesn’t say anything about who you are or how much you can allow yourself to enjoy life!
Indeed there comes a time when you’ll have to give up normal for magical; when likeable gives way to grandness and ordinary is released to allow the extraordinary. And when I say grandness I don’t mean a grander cage, a grander identity or grand limitations. I mean grand as in expanding beyond the parameters of what most humans consider to be real or possible; when you’ll release the chase for the human ideal in order to be truthful to the Free You. You probably won’t be very good at blending in anymore, but perhaps for the first time, you’ll be excellent at being you.
There will be a tendency to hold onto the old, partly because we sense that this is our last chance at being a muggle, or at least at pretending to be one. This is the last time we get to play small, feel limited, and to strive to be a more perfect human, because once we’ve allowed the full realization of our enlightenment, well, there’s no turning back. And so we hold onto this moment and we cherish it. Just know that if you are ready to give up the game of hiding, of trying to be better or more successful at being average, there’s something wonderful waiting on the other side: as a matter of fact, there’s everything waiting on the other side of that threshold: Every perspective, every potential, every possibility.
